Tecnica Agate S GTX hiking shoes

The Agate S GTX is a forgiving and protective fast hiking shoe, with a superior comfortable soft landing. Specifically designed for women's anatomy and biometrics with scientific validation by Cerism, the Agate S GTX features Tecnica's exclusive Impulso midsole technology with a Pebax insert. Equipped with premium technologies by Ortholite®, Gore-Tex® and Vibram®.

The Pebax® foam plate of the Impulso technology sits in a balanced EVA midsole geometry, providing a lightweight, durable platform that supports the foot during intense fast hiking, keeping the shoe’s lateral stability when moving fast downhill or on uneven terrain. In addition, the V-Shaped ESS insert plate at the midfoot delivers torsional support and helps to prevent ankle injuries.

The midsole unit features Tecnica's exclusive Impulso technology that combines the benefits of a high-rebound EVA and a full-length Pebax® foam plate, delivering superior cushioning, explosive energy return and long-lasting elasticity. As a result, the Spark allows a comfortable and forgiving fast hiking experience on the most technical terrain.

The Agate has been designed around a gender-specific anatomical last to carefully match the more triangular shape, lower volume and narrower heel bone of women's feet. In addition, the underfoot has been fine-tuned to provide support to women's higher foot arch. The comfortable anatomical design has been approved by focus groups with the W2W initiative and scientifically validated by CeRiSM.
